What are some topics you'd like to see discussed in a future ADDI Researcher Roundtable?

  • 1). A talk on Lecanemab, Gantenerumab, and Donanemab, and what does this mean for people living with Alzheimer’s disease in different regions of the world.

    2).  What's on the horizon for new Alzheimer's treatments and clinical trials, and what are some of the current hurdles and limitations to them.

    3). A conversation on WHO Global action plan on dementia broken down by its 7 action areas. The priority actions are dementia:

    Action 1: as a public health priority,

    Action 2: awareness and friendliness,

    Action 3: risk reduction,

    Action 4: diagnosis, treatment care and support

    Action 5: support for dementia carers

    Action 6: information systems

    Action 7: research and innovation.

    4). Insights into different National Dementia Plans already stablished. (48 countries and territories have adopted a plan on dementia, including 39 WHO Member States).

    5). A conversation with policy makers and caregivers.

    6). A comprehensive explanation of the different types of dementias from a clinician perspective, and how are treatments tailored to early stage diagnosed individuals.

    7). Current advances, limitations and future directions of research into the relationship between AD and sleep, AD and nutrition/diet, AD and gut health, AD and hypoxia, and AD and epigenetic/environmental factors.

    8). What are some breakthroughs in AD-related research in animal models and how are these bringing us closer to understanding human's AD pathology.
